I couldn't save everyone, or keep you from losing your arm.

But I took Lian's place.

This doesn't make things better Mia. It just makes them hurt different. So instead of losing my daughter, I lost a sister. Instead of Ollie losing his granddaughter, he lost his daughter.

It is different, and you know it. Every time I put that mask on, I knew the next funeral might be mine. It was something I decided would be worth it if it meant making a difference.

Lian never made that choice, never signed up for anything. Saving her was the final difference I made, and it was worth it.

Mia, even if you were sick. Even if you could have dropped dead the next second. It doesn't make your life any less precious to us. If I could go back, I'm sure I'd see Oliver sick with grief.

I think someone had to die, Roy, and I think I got sent back right then, right there for a reason.

And I still want Prometheus dead. Which is probably why I ended up back here instead of a nicer locale.

That's fine. I delivered my own message. And I guess I won't need the medication anymore, being dead and all.

I did a lot of stuff that I'm pretty sure makes my damnation justified, assuming any of those preachers or priests are right. I didn't get the HIV from a blood transfer, if you get my drift.

Whether I'm damned or not, I'd like to stay here for while. Not quite ready to go into the light. People I need to be here for.
