Trip Entry #1 - Day One...Short & Sweet lol
I'm doing one day at a time haha..well maybe not one day always...i'll group it into like washington, new york, maine, etc. okay - enjoy :)
Day one was spent on a plane. Everyone knows the story of how we were at the airport in Phoenix, and were going to get bumped so we volunteered and got our first free ticket vouchers for Delta. We left the next morning.
This flight wasn't too bad. We were in the last row right next to the bathrooms so it kind of stunk, but the flight itself wasn't bad. We were sitting next to a nice guy who my dad talked to for quite some time...then my dad spilled his soda all over him LoL. Poor guy...but it's funny now.
Anyhow, that's all I can really remember from this day. We got to Virginia at like 8pm or something? We quickly loaded my sister, kayla, and all of their stuff into the rental car (which btw they gave us the wrong car - it was not a suburban like we had requested and been assured we'd get..it was some other large SUV...it worked, it was just a tight fit). So then we headed off to Washington DC that night...we got like half way and ended up getting a hotel for the night.
The hotel was ok, my sis left her Bible there though, which was really sad :( she called back a few times and they never found it.
Anyhow...that was day 1...I only have pictures from the flight though...didn't take any that night otherwise.
You might notice that I'm obsessed with taking pictures out of the plane window, even though the windows are always terribly scratched and it's rare you get a clear picture...but I managed a couple, so I'm happy :)

the stupid smudges on the windows kinda mess these next ones up, but at least you can see how pretty it was outside
Coming into Atlanta

we thought this was the Mississippi, but then we saw another large river lol, so I'm not sure. Regardless, it's a huge river :)
