My maiden name was Chasse. It's pronounced SHA-say, but people liked to say it like CHA-see. No problem. But I used to get stuff addressed to me that said Chaffee, Chafey, Chase, Chasey, Chazwicz, Chasis, and McHasse.

I'd tell people, "It's spelled like Chase, but with two s's." I'd get Chases. I couldn't win.
