No Gala:(

I was just reading an article on Yahoo Sports that said Johnny wasn't going to be in the gala, here's it is:

It's always top four/five plus home skaters. Them's the rules. I was kind of hoping Plushenko would pull a Duschenays and refuse to do the gala, but even then they might have just had one less skater.

i did know that, but i dont know why i still got my hopes up:/ I was kinda hoping that one of the top five would pull out allowing Johnny to skate.

yeah which sucks cause like you said he so shouldve been up there

That sucks. :( I mean, how fabulous can a gala be if he's not participating in it? I can understand though if it's just part of the rules, but I really thought he should have been included in that top 5 anyways.

(I was kinda hoping to catch a glimpse of him at the Robson Square ice rink cause a few of the other skaters have been spotted there, but so far, no such luck. Ah well, a girl can dream! *sigh*)

He really shouldve been in the top five, i mean can you imagine Johnny skating to Gaga on Olympic ice? gosh i wish he could be in it

I'm disappointed as well, especially considering that he deserved to place high enough to skate in it. He would have been one of the best exhibition skaters, I'm sure.
