five thirty in the morning and a house diagonally across from where we live was very much engulfed in flames. it was definitely a "holy fucking shit!" moment. that place was being consumed and the flames were leaping onto another house to the right of it.

When I was younger, a friend of mine and myself almost burned down his house because he wanted to try an experiment. In the fire, the intensity was so great that it caused the center of it to swirl around like a tornado coming off of the ground because it was heating the air up so much. I thought it was one of the most intimidating things ever, and still do. It doesn't even seem real that something like that can happen.
