no, they were supposed to. i sat on the phone for 40 minutes authorizing these transactions to come out of my account on the 17th of each month. and the first one has not come out of my account yet.

i'm worried because i don't want some cooky late fee, and i don't want to find out that my partial pay forebearance agreement has gone up in smoke.

it's pretty fucking ass backwards, but for whatever reason i couldn't have that option, nor could i make the payments online through my Manage Your Loans account (like i do for my federal loan payment). they had to set up each transaction for each month individually through their computer system.

i received written confirmation (in addition to over the phone confirmation numbers) for this whole shebang, but it's sallie mae, so i don't really trust it.

I'm sorry. Student loans are SHIT. I almost went with Sallie Mae five years ago, but where I ended up is just as bad. Good luck with everything~

thank you! my birthday was happy

i'm really worried that the new loan plan won't pass. the private lender companies are not too pleased with it (i wonder why) and will be using their millions to fight it. plus, we've got congressmen and senators willing to support the private lenders because they think this is capitalism at its finest, the very spirit of america (to fuck over it's citizens), and obama's plan is socialist shite. -_____-
