AGREED!
I've had friends bitch about how this movie was overrated, and I was confused. Horror films NEVER scare me, because I always find them over the top and ri-DUNK-ulous. Paranormal Activity was such a breath of fresh air and I was SCARED! For the first time in forever, a film that was meant to be scary... scared me lol And kept me from going to the bathroom at 2am alone XD

a lot of people i know who didn't like the film saw it in a noisy theatre, which would totally ruin your experience. was that the case with your friends, because seriously, even if you weren't scared, this film was just so well done compared to the nonsense we usually get!

MEGA SPOILERS BELOW, FOR ANYONE READING!

I liked it a lot. I thought they did a superb job of creating a creepy feeling and didn't go for "startle" moments until about at the end or so.

My two biggest gripes with the movie are when the demon DOES manifest itself, first with the stupid chicken feet footprints, and when they made the girl's face morph at the end of the movie. The footprints I thought should have been something completely unearthly, not resembling the same footprints I see on the beach from seagulls. And when they morphed her face, I made a HUGE rolleyes because I am sick of seeing that shit on the internet. I thought it would have been better if she just stared at the camera and it fuzzed out.

Did you see the other two endings yet? They are substantially different...

the drag scene was well done, but i got chills from the sheets moving. probably because i feared that when i was a child.

i guess what i mean is there's no black swirling mass, full body apparition er whatev they call it these days, or some cgi ghost floating around. we only see shadows and yes, the chicken feet lol! the baby powder scene i liked because the footprints weren't human and that's what struck me. it reminded me of illustrations of demons and the devil where the feet are bird or reptilian like.

i didn't mind the theatrical ending because it only happened that one time. but yeah, could have been better. what i thought was silly was katie going missing, never to be found again. wtf?!

i have a version of the film with all the extras and the different endings. haven't watched it because i'm afraid i'll be scared again. :P lame i know

oh and when the thing grabs the girl's feet and drags her all the way down the hallway, I had such a HUGE chill up my spine. I can't remember the last time that happened from a movie...
