I figure this will be a good "get to know John Mayer" session. Now, in Marianne's defense, she did not say outright that I needed to write such an update for her, but I could tell from her e-tone of voice

Of course they do, my young apprentice. That's why we must only endure them for a short amount of time. It's sort of like Wintertime here in Massachu-it's friggin cold-setts. You see, in Texas, we know that it should not be snowing, well...ever. But if it must snow, we know that our contract with mother nature allows for removal of said snow after February (March if she's draggin' her feet like damn women typically do anyway). Winter in Texas is done right, namely because of it's length. In relationships, you know you're screwed if you've gone past the assigned span of six weeks.
