So last night I found out my brother in law tested positive for cancer. He has spots on his liver, but they haven't located it anywhere else. It is rare for the liver to be the first organ effected, so they are doing lots of tests. Hopefully they can just cut out the spots. I arrived safely in Lawrence last night after driving all day from Arlington. The trip was thankfully uneventful. Great weather, light traffic, entertaining book on CD. Well the trip and interviews were great. To start with, when I checked in at National, Midwest Express switched me to a direct flight. The funeral for my grandparents was this weekend. The most moving part was the poems my younger sister wrote and read at the graveside. I remember... She really touched on who my grandparents were for people. I was very proud of her.
