Had a lesson with a new private student yesterday. The theme of the lesson was the nature versus nurture debate. To get the ball rolling and to get his attention, I asked him whether he thought being gay was either from one’s nature or from one’s environment. He drew a blank. When probed a bit, he went on to talk about how TV could make people gay

What do you teach?

I'm very curious about what you teach. Your student sounds like a highschool slacker, yet teachers of high school slackers usually don't start off with debating nature-vs-nurture.
