Oh man, that does suck. But aren't you a music major? You guys gotta take a billion classes, and they're only like 1 credit each. Sucks to be you. :P But actually, both my MUAP (Applied Music) classes (Group voice and Concert band) are only 1 credit each, so I'm only 14 credits from classes....but I'm getting 2 credits (with an automatic A) for being in the faculty-directed musical, Thoroughly Modern Millie, so as long as I don't break my leg next week and can't do the show, I'll be getting 16 credits. :)

Heavens no. The average is 5, but depending on what classes they are, some people take up to 8, or more. See, the minimum you have to take to be considered a "full-time student" is 12 credits, usually being 4 classes (if the average class is 3 credits). Usually people will take 15 credits or so, and then sometimes if some of your classes are less than 3 credits (like mine, I have two 1-credit classes), then you'll need to take more classes to make up for it. Music majors have to do that a lot, especially. A lot of music classes are just one credit, so music majors sometimes have to take something like 10 classes per semester. It's crazy.
