My car is just not having a good year...

As if I didn't just have my car completely repainted top to bottom a few weeks ago, now it has to go back to the bodyshop. WHY? Because I got hit by a taxi last night. The good news is that the damage is not that extensive, but the bad news is that I cant really drive it anywhere until I get it fixed. I am now missing my driver side-view mirror,

All you politically minded people, get this. The Bush Administration is not counting deaths by explosive devices in the determination of whether or not the troop surge is working. That means no roadside bombs, and no car bombs or suiicide attacks.

so what the hell *are* they counting then?! that's what pretty much makes up the whole damned count. just another stroke of idiocy on the part of our administration. i was actually thinking the other day about how so many people (including, sadly, myself at times) just kind of brush off iraqi death stories when we hear them in the news ... like, it's gone from being such a big deal to being absolutely nothing to anyone. that's how you know there's a problem ...

also, could you like, duct tape your mirror on for now or something? how much is it going to cost? will the taxi company help you with the damage? they very well should ...
