Access intermittant

I'm not on LJ much these days. I try and catch up when I can but, to be honest, I'm doing little more than skimming so if I've apparently ignored any heartfelt posts crying for sympathy or hugs or whatever, that I haven't replied is more likely because I haven't read it than because I'm heartless and just don't care (although that too ( Read more... )

As a general rule of thumb, if I want to make a heartfelt cry to someone for hugs and sympathy, I'll phone them. Heck, if I have a serious matter I want to raise with lots of people I'll phone.

While LJ can be a useful tool for getting news out to the masses, its not a terribly effective one and it annoys me no end when people get upset because "wah, wah, wah, people ignored my oh so important LJ post." If it was really important, you'd communicate it by other means.

Which to be fair some folk obviously do and then use LJ as a back-up, rather than using LJ exclusively.

I'm the same, although so many people I know down here are on LJ that it makes it a good tool for generally keeping up with folk and issuing party invites.

Don't worry, I'm definitely still on for Friday. It's in my diary! Thankfully I'm almost over the lurgy that has been plaguing me for the past week and a bit.

I have been having lots of social anxiety issues. The other problems aren't hitting the LJ mostly.

:-( Sorry to hear that. And I'm sorry if a cheery word from me might have helped along the way. The lurgy has left me with even less time for LJ as I've been going to bed at 9pm. I have every hope that it will have gone away entirely by the weekend though, so I'll see you at your party.

I was starting to wonder if you were still around - I thouhgt that I must have missed summat!
Putting life before Live Journal? - A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do... I just have rather too much time on my hands while I wait for a start date for New Job, so even though I don't use LJ at work, I end up home rather earlier than may be normal.

Nah, I'm still here, still having fun. :-)

You've still not got a start date for your new job? That must be very vexing!

Their HR are doing the security checks - or rather, they have all the paperwork to do the checks but are probably not doing them. It took 3 weeks to get the forms from them initially. This is probably why they say it can take 3 months.
