Yes....that was one of the main things that struck me about my real friends' friendship! as the 3rd friend I think I could see it a lot clearer than they ever could.
Wonderful! This, sadly, so often happens with sisters. I hated being an only child but I was always grateful I never had a sister. It usually starts with a mother who plays them off against each other. I've known at least two pairs like that.
I actually have a much younger sister who is 9 years younger than me. Growing up she was also a lot like my Izzy character but as I was much older and very much an arty extrovert (in a quietly confident way) our relationship wasn't anything like these two in my story. We were always very different personalities and at times it was hard but we were like cats....we lived separate lives most of the time, but god help the person who spoke a bad word to either of us about the other sister!!
Very good. To start with I thought it was a regular post. Lol You capture well, the experience of feeling lonely in a lively pub. I was captivated from beginning to end.
