Summary: Death to him was nothing but his worst enemy, but in his brother’s eyes they were nothing more than a lost friend.
As the cold wind blows into the night and as the moon light shines from the darkness to the shade of the window. The light that glows alongside with the darkness and slowly fades as night slowly becomes older. The room that isn’t claiming to be mine is left without the slightest touch. Everything left the same.
From the walls that are posted with the pictures in frames to the bed left undone from the last morning, all left the same. But this isn’t about the room or the moon or even himself for that mattered.
This was about him.
He still remember those times they spent together. Those times that is nothing but the memory behind him. Times where he can no longer spent but only look back at them. But that’s what kills him the most.
From the moon light the glows on the side of his face only continues to stare at the empty spot that was once filled with the person he loved.
The shining silver on the empty wheelchair that glows only with the light of the moon and stars, folded in front of him. His eyes only stare; stare at the moving seat that was supposed to fill with the other then he space of his little brother.
He cherished his younger sibling because even though they weren’t related by blood, the two shared a strong connect that no one could ever break apart.
But death had other things in mind.
He could only ask why, why did something like this have to happen to him. His brother. What has he done? What has he done to get cursed with something so tragic knowing that the kid had it hard enough?
But what killed him the most was why couldn’t he done anything to stop it.
Cancer was a bitch he once said, a huge bitch for that matter to take away his precious treasure in the world.
He tried to make things right, tried to make his brother feel as if nothing was wrong, but he knew. Taemin knew that his moments were limited and in a matter of time death would introduce himself real soon and take him away like a lost friend.
But even in his last moments, the only thing he craved for was his brother’s smile.
And in the end, with the dreading tears in his eyes, Key gave him just that.
A smile.
