In response to Travis Japan's Givenchy product promotion

On July 13, 2020, Travis Japan relased a new video on the Johnny's Jr Channel to promote Givenchy's "Le Rose Perfect Liquid Balm" (or also "Rose Perfect Liquid").

In that video the Traja members decided to each make a selfie video promoting one color of the Liquid Balm series.

The colors showcased were:

#17 Nude Chill by Noeru
#10 Frosted Nude by Matsukura
#01 Perfect Pink by Shimekake
#30 Vital Glow by Shizuya
#22 Berry Break by Nakamura
#19 Woody Red by Miyachika
#23 Solar Pink by Genta

What each member does to promote their selected color can be viewed in the Johnny's Jr channel and it's definitely worth a watch as the Travis Japan members each tackle this in a creative and entertaining manner.

As Givenchy is in the mid-range area price wise (the Liquid Balm costs ~32 € each), it took me a while to decide whether I should go for it or not. I personally am not too fond of liquid lip products as they tend to dry my lips out but I was taken in by the promotional video so once I had some money to spare I decided to give it a go and went ahead and bought the "001 Perfect Pink" Liquid Balm.

When Shime applied the balm onto his lips, his lips seemed reddish shimmer and I thought among all the colors, it's the most endearing one. The product itself though is actually more of a glittery cotton candy in color. The shop employee told me it's actually transparent in application but she recommended it nonetheless, calling it a sexy color.

Once at home, I tried it out and just like on Shime's lips, it looked amazing. I fairly liked the shimmery look on the lips.
What I personally did not like though was the stickiness. I don't have much experience with liquid lip products besides the "Dior Addict Stellar Gloss" which very smooth on the lips so I don't quite know if liquid lip products are usually sticky or if it's just this particular one that has this kind of texture. What I also fault in this product is that while I get that it's a lip balm, it's not great that it feels like I applied menthol onto my lips. There is a slight burn upon application and while you get used to it, I do not see why I should get used to it when there are other lip products out there, both liquid glosses and lip balms that do not have the same effect.

The Liquid Balm seems to receive quite the popularity so good for Givenchy, I guess. I won't buy it again though as much as I love the color.
