It's a totally horrible situation. I am completely in awe of the brave people who are fighting the tyrannous government for the sake of future generations. I read that the State Dept. asked Twitter to postpone maintenance of the site that would cause an hour of downtime, so they could continue contact with Tweeters in Iran. I find that so interesting - we are all so interconnected. They, as well, are risking their lives to try to get outside help for their nation. I know you know all this - it just still wrenches my heart. So many people look at situations like this as what is happening OVER THERE, and are so myopically consumed with their own lives, but sometimes I close my eyes and try to really imagine what other people are dealing with, and this is one of those times when it's unbearably difficult to do so, just because the situation is so different from my experience. I'll be thinking about your family ♥

Thanks for the links-- I've been reading up on the news about what's going on, but it's still better to get all these first hand accounts from the people who are actually there. Thinking good thoughts that your family is safe out there!

Good to know they are probably safe. Hopefully they will continue that way, whether a revolution comes or this is over tomorrow.

I'm just happy when people mobilize over issues like this, even if it's just to show support since there's not a whole lot that we (as individual citizens in America) can do directly.

I'm going to run out of green shirts soon! Luckily I have a luxury called a washing machine.
