[If anyone were to walk close to one of the dorm rooms they might hear Thanatos' quiet sobbing from inside as he sits alone on the futon he shares with Orpheus. His sobs are so quiet they're almost inaudible. Also, those who know Thanatos or Orpheus would realize they haven't been seen at the Velvet Mall in awhile. Wonder what that's all about...?

[Souji's been walking down the hall for a few hours- he's been pretty stressed about everything that's going on. With Shura and shadows and new appearances, it's starting to wear him down. At the door he stops upon the sounds and leans in towards the door a little. He knocks-- lightly.]

... Thanatos?

[itsnotaleash]

[The sobs stop immediately at the knock. There's a short moment where Thanatos tries to compose himself where he rubs at his face with the scarf around his neck. Thanatos totally wasn't crying.]

... Souji?

[kidofinaba]

[He rests his forehead against the door and breathes for a few moments, shoving worst case scenarios out of his head so he can calm down and talk in a calm tone. A hand around the doorknob, he pauses.]

You need some company?

A-ah, sure! Hold on...

[He stands up and rushes to the bathroom so he can cleanse the tears out of his eyes. Once he rubs at his face with a washcloth he heads for the door and opens it so Souji can come in.]

Well, she'd noticed; as nice as some of the other people in the Mall could be, she kinda missed her two closest guy friends. A visit was clearly in order, so she was coming over after a day of doing stuff, and-- huh?

Someone was crying in there. Automatic worry senses activate, hand paused in front of the door for a few moments before she knocks.

"Hey...it's me."

[itsnotaleash]

... Yukari?

[Thanatos sounds like death as his voice catches in his throat. ... Well, he is Death. Still, that detail doesn't matter right now as he immediately forces himself to stop sobbing and he rubs at his face with the trademark yellow scarf. He hadn't been expecting anyone to visit...]

Didn't this all seem familiar. She bites her lip a moment, hand resting against the door, before she speaks up again.

"...can I come in?"

Of course you can...

H-hold on.

[He takes a moment to head to the bathroom and wash his face so he looks presentable. Once he's done with that he goes to the door as he needs to unlock and open it for Yukari. He even tries to smile.] ... Hey.

[Unfortunately for Thanatos, the winged!one just happens to be walking by. Sure, it sounded peaceful. Until she heard someone that sounded kicked puppy. That... sobbing sounded familiar. Let's knock on the door. Politely.]

Thanatos?

[itsnotaleash]

... Miwako?

[Moves off of the futon and heads towards the door until he has his hand against the doorknob. This was someone he hadn't seen in a long time... Too bad she had to find him while he was sobbing right now. Speaking of that... He tries to console himself so she won't ask too many questions about why he was in this state.] Haha, I haven't seen you in awhile.

[Why wasn't he opening the door...? Sure, he had a reason, but that just made the worry flood through her head more so than it was before.]

Let me in.

[itsnotaleash]

A-all right...

[Quickly, Thanatos unlocks the door. He only hesitates to open it...]

[It took until he was right outside the door for S!Naoto to finally hear the sobs. He pauses for just a second, free hand hand hovering over the doorknob, before opening it with his usual lack of knocking.]

I'm back.

[Just in case Thanatos somehow managed to miss him walking in. Naoto closes the door behind him before dropping a small plastic bag down on the nearest surface.]

[Proceeds to cover his face with the usual scarf right as Shadow Naoto walks in. Thanatos wasn't too surprised since they obviously shared the room whenever Naoto decided to come back from trips to his lab. Time to pretend he wasn't just crying before Naoto walked in! Oh, let's put our attention to the small plastic bag since it's an easy distraction to put his mind on.]

Hey, it's been awhile.

... What did you get, Naoto?

[reversedwheel]

[Unfortunately, S!Naoto already heard the sobs. But he isn't going to comment.]

It's from Naoto. [The real one, that is.] Some sort of thank-you for "taking care" of me, apparently.

[And he'll just be digging inside of that bag now. After a moment, Naoto takes out something that looks suspiciously like after-Valentine's bargain chocolate and heads over to sit down on the ground next to the futon. Someone still isn't awake, apparently?]

Well, that was nice of Naoto to do.

[He peers down at the Valentine's bargain chocolates in Naoto's hands. Well, that hit the nail on the head... Orpheus was still in the closet pocket dimension located in the closet. Unconscious.]

[It's always a bit odd after being out of the waking world for more than twelve hours, let alone days on end. Or weeks. Even moreso when you pass out surrounded by towers upon towers of books, on a table, compounded with the feeling all your joints are made of stone. Not a very pleasurable experience, mind you. But all of this is fairly tolerable and easily ignored.]

[However, finally reaching the door out of the pocket dimension just to hear sobs on the other side? It's enough to freeze his already-stiffened movements. Boss? Crying? ... Okay, what happened and who needs to be hit with a book in punishment? But still being silent for now, not knowing on whether it would be wise to exit and interrupt the other.]

[... Well, he definitely heard movement in the closet even if it was very quiet... Orpheus was the only one in there as far as he knew. Thanatos remains on the futon as he rubs at his eyes with his scarf to try and hide the evidence. NO, HE WAS NOT JUST UTTERLY BAWWWING INTO HIS SCARF WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT.]

Orpheus...?

[itsaleash]

[Busted. Not like we were trying that hard to be quiet after all.] ... Yeah.

[Back to silence, listening as Thanatos spazzes to hide his own tears and such. Want to ask what happened. Why are you crying. How can I help. But if he doesn't want to be called out on it... Then it's not our place to question.]

Should I come out yet...? [Trailing off a bit at the end. "Or do you need a bit longer to compose yourself?"]

Orpheus...! [Practically, Thanatos leaps off of the futon in excitement.]

Y-Yeah, you can come out!
