Come on, you need to get out more often! You've been in the Velvet Library for days now... I didn't create the pocket dimension for you to become a complete recluse like this.

[And as per the usual reaction when the headphones are removed with little-to-no warning, jumps a few inches and sits bolt upright. Only to immediately lean forward in a last-ditch attempt to catch the pen he dropped in the process. Because having a fountain pen spill open would... not end well.]

[But after that, he merely turns his head a bit to stare up at Thanatos from his new resting spot face-down on the table.]

[This doesn't seem so much like "giving" as it is "forcing". But the sentiment is forgotten in an attempt to both grab his notes and keep up with the superior's footsteps. Both ending in failure and amounting to just stumbling after him in a vague attempt to keep balance.]
