1. What did you do in 2003 that you'd never done before? I drove to St. Louis for the first time, I saw San Francisco for the first time, and got my own apartment.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I don’t really remember my resolutions, but I know one of them was to drink more water, and I definitely stuck with that one!
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? Yup, the receptionist here at work.
4. Did anyone close to you die? My uncle Keith.
5. What countries did you visit? The… United States?
6. What would you like to have in 2004 that you lacked in 2003? Better willpower (go diet go!) and more patience for my coworkers.
7. What date from 2003 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? There are a few: July 5th, Justin Timberlake in St. Louis, mostly because my stepbrothers and I seriously did see Mraz-style fireworks from the freeway when we hit KC on the way to St. Louis. So pretty.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Paying off my credit card!
9. What was your biggest failure? Not losing any weight.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury? I’m on a million milligrams of motrin for straining my muscle doing too many crunches at the gym. Stupid.
11. What was the best thing you bought? Concert tickets (Mayer and Timberlake), and living room furniture, I guess.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration? Michael Moore’s.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? My mother’s and my younger stepbrother’s.
14. Where did most of your money go? CDs. Sigh.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? Vacations to California and Florida.

20. How will you be spending Christmas? Christmas Eve at my dad’s, Christmas Day at my mom’s.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery? I now have Paul Simon’s entire catalog. I don’t know what it is, but I’m in freaking love with Paul Simon.
28. What did you want and get? This job, an apartment, a domain name, a cute cell phone… I’m not good at wanting and not getting.
29. What did you want and not get? My apartment’s not clean. I think I mentioned that. It’s so messy right now, ugh.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? 21. I went to the casino at 12:30 in the morning on my birthday, and the following evening went barhopping with Megan.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? More money? Getting thinner? A clean apartment?
