i am very curious about peggy gugenheim now and want to read about her... and i would love to see some italian cinema with you...xo have a safe trip home darling lovely!
oh kristin, you have to read about her. her father died on the Titanic and she inherited nearl 500k, a huge sum at the time. she told herself to buy a painting a day right before the start of WWII. i will loan you her bio this next weekend. also, i have another wonderful book youd love...its a perfecy bio on artists salons between 1900 and 1940. it connects the ones in NYC, London, Paris and even the one in Morocco. and if you ever want to read about the Morocco one, oh man...i have THE best book. i want to loan it to Skip first (since it features lots of good Beats visiting Paul Bowles) but then you should read it.
i adore beats... there is a jack kerouac tribute this weekend that i've gone to the last three years, i'm so sad that i have to miss it... but yes, can't wait to see you.
Oh, I read Art Lover last year! Such a good book. i couldn't believe she had a nose job with no anesthesia. yikes! your post have been fabulous. You've gone to all the palces I would love to someday. have a lovely and safe trip home!
oh! the peggy guggenheim has been one of the art highlights of my entire european experience. i'm so glad you enjoyed it! i know you don't officially know me... but i'm really enjoying reading your entries. have fun!
