If you knew you were going to die by spontaneously combusting in a most spectacular conflagration and you could choose where and when, where and when would you do it?

(For some reason I imagine myself doing it on a battlefield in the middle of a battle during World War I. Dunno why exactly.)

I probably should of looked up conflagration first. If I'm to go in an extensive, destructive fire I choose to burn on the London Underground somewhere under East London.

My first thought was IN THE OCEAN.

Like somehow I had got myself in a real mess by being way too deep in the ocean to look at cool fish, but instead of drowning I just ~COMBUSTED~, because drowning seems painful.

And then I thought about shagging Madsy in your icon.

i'm not sure effective spontaneous combustion would work in the ocean.
life aquatic on the brain much?

i think that being in mads' presence would make me burst into flames on the spot.

Limey said I am always in an ocean, an ocean of blubber.

But the ocean was the first thing that came into my head! Indeed, it is likely because all I have been doing is watching Wes Anderson things and he always has underwater scenes.

BUT my inner combustion would be stronger than any oceanic pressure.

well it is true that oil burns on water and blubber is fat and fat is oil so i guess that could work if you were on the surface of the ocean.
and you would be on the surface because, although you imagine yourself on the bottom looking at all the fish, you're so blubberous that you'd be like a buoy.
or wait - would you be more like a whale? i'm confused.

ok first things first, human combustion based on the evidence of ashes and remains at the few sights that this strange phenomenon has occured, is an intense heat generated (for whatever reason) from the inside of person. This is based on the damage of the surrounding area and even the extremities of the victim themselves. (see the case of Mary Reeser for instance) As a result dowsing yourself in water, falling into water or otherwise submerging or engulfing yourself in water is useless, you will still burn at an intense heat in a small place until you are reduced to ash. The question is, if you spontaneously combusted would there be any visible flame? and if so for how long?

to respond to the original question, on stage, best... show... ever

right, but my kind of spontaneous combustion is the kind where you become a huge flaming mass like a phoenix (minus the rising from the ashes part). and it doesn't hurt.

as for your response, do you mean during a concert? would it be in the middle of a song or would it be at the end?

mid song, someone would have to say I'm on fire

well, with the amount of alcohol in you at your shows i'm sure we could arrange something by dropping a match down your throat or something.
