At one point Ema was a optimistic chipper young woman, but now a days she's rather moody and irritable. She usually waves others off if they don't have too much to talk about that wasn't concerning science or forensics. Basically, nothing of interest or importance to her. Playing into her irritability, Ema has a habit of chucking fried projectiles at others if she happens to be frustrated or annoyed at them. If you're lucky she'll just munch on her snacks quite 'loudly' and just ignore you.
Even though she complains a lot about her job, Ema does it accordingly and isn't one to slack off from it just because it isn't her dream job. She still shows her love of science out on the field when given the chance. Especially if it's to use nifty gadget of hers. Ema can be a pretty easy person to get along with if you get on her good side (throw in some science and she's all yours). She's not always in a grumpy mood and having a heavy mood swing (like PMS). In fact, she can be very helpful and will jump at the chance to do so even more if it she can in anyway. Showing that optimism she had when she was younger. She'll definitely warm up to you if you happen to be friends with a certain porcupine haired individual.
Backstory: When she was sixteen, Ema was a bright eyed optimistic girl who loved science and wanted to be a great forensic scientist someday. Striving to one day work along side her sister and help others through the power of science. She went to Europe to study abroad for nine years in hopes to learn more about forensic science to get her closer to her dream. Upon returning to the U.S., it was to her dismay that she realized she did not meet the requirements to become a scientific investigator. Yet, she was qualified enough to be hire as a detective rather than a scientific investigator.
This shifted a big change in Ema's usual chipper, optimistic personality to having a more sour demeanor from the disappointment she had to endure. She voices her displeasure of being a detective quite often to anyone willingly to listen (or not willingly. Either way you'll hear it.)
Moral Standing: Grumpy and little irritable at times, but she's good.
Dreams: To be a top forensic scientist of course!
Fears: Failing again at trying to reach her dream again, but not just that also failing others.
Also, she isn't too keen on thunderstorms and the dark due to a terrible incident when she was younger.
