Horoscopes are the result of some deluded Egyptians. They found out that they could predict the flooding of the Nile by watching Siris (The Dog Star) rise at the same time with the Sun. They set up temples across all of Egypt in order to predict this using light tricks via long corridors. Then some priests thought, hey maybe we can predict other things too! Thus you have the birth of the concept of astrology, transplanted by Egypt's various invaders.

There is a reason that the Egyptian society failed ;).
