I have to write a fundraising letter for tomorrow for my writing class. I have no desire whatsoever to do this. I've chosen to make it a thank you letter after a donation, so luckily I won't have to actually ask for money and such, but still, it is ridiculously not enjoyable.

Ok, here's the BIG news: I'm moving to Alexandria, VA to be an Au Pair to a lady named Colleen who's suupa high up in the FBI. Like, fricken' homeland security. O_o Anyway, she lives 3 miles away from where Darryl lives and I just have to watch her 6 year old son during the weekdays when he's not at school. I get free room and board, a brand new 2008 SUV to cart the little one around (as well as myself on my off days), free food (I tell her what I want and she buys it!), an entire 4th floor of a huge ass house that she owns to myself, health insurance that she'll pay for, and a set $300.00 a week! I get weekends off and evenings, too. Like, holy fuck. I hit it big.

The only catch is that she needs me out there on Sat Nov 10th, so I have to pack fast. But...yeah. Freaking sweet. Oh, and there's a train that runs from DC (6 miles north of Alexandria) to Pittsburgh! *squees with joy* I get to see my Sarah-chan! Isn't it GREAT?! ^o^ I'm so excited! Hee hee!

I had a feeling you were moving somehow, but wow, that's really awesome! I'm so glad you're finally getting out of that hell hole! Plus, you'll be a lot closer to me (there's a very cheap bus between D.C. and Philly, where I'll be come December). Yaay! Congratulations!
