That looks so tasty and way more decadent than it is! It makes my can of vegetable soup look too tame. :P

It was REALLY good, but not for those who don't like spicy. I think this stuff would also be good mixed in with onions and celery that have been sauteed, or in a maranara sauce or if someone was a big eater and was accustomed to eating huge brats like hot dogs, it would work also. I'm also guessing it would stand in for the Kielbasa type sausages that we used to cook in saurkraut. Tofurkey is the best in these and deli slices, too!

Thanks for the tip! I love spicy food. I've been interested in trying the Italian sausage in spaghetti sauce or on homemade pizza. I'll try this brand. Have you had the ones made by Morningstar? We liked those, too.

The only sausage from MS I've tried is the breakfast links. I couldn't get the outsides browned to suit me, but browned them as good as I could and they are the ones in my soup I liked toward the beginning of my blog (not the Scotch broth, the other one). I have bought the sausage patties, but not tried them yet. As far as brat sausage types, we have only just started getting them, I think they are seeing the increase of sales in this type of product (guess who?) and so are beginning to stock more choices :)
As far as regular hot dogs go, I have found Veggie Patch ones in the organics department that I liked pretty good, but hated the Lite Life Smart Dogs. The MS Corn dogs are pretty good, I like to nuke to unfreeze the center and then brown in the skillet, as I think the corn bread type outer part should be crisp, not soft like bread. Going to the store today to replenmish my supplies of fruits/veggies, ragu light! Going food shopping is my favorite thing! :)
