Now let's see here... If I'm correct, there will be more arrivals during this solar-cycle, if they've not yet already arrived! Heeheehee, I hope I'm not the only one that's caught on to that-- There's a method to this madness! But I must wonder, how far do these methods go? Are there specific reasons for being chosen, or is it merely at random ( Read more... )

You are proposing that there's a pattern to arrivals here? How long have you been here and what evidence to support this have you observed?

[Naoto's interest was definitely perked at that.]

...As to the second question, I suppose I would seek to capture whichever complimented the skills of my current Pokémon best. For the moment, I only have the one.

Mostly, about the same time each "week", new posters appear on the network. It's as simple as that, heeheehee... Though I've only been here for two thus far... So this will make it only the third now, but I'm no fool.

Just the one? Are you a new one then?

It will require more investigation to prove conclusively then, but that's a start.

[There is a pause before Naoto responds.]

Yes, unfortunately.

Hmhmhm... Good luck. [Of course, there's about as much sincerity in that as Adachi in a room filled with helpless girls. He also chuckles.]

Is that so? Hahaha, in that case, you move faster than the others. Interesting!

How do you mean that? I have merely been monitoring the communications available through our Pokégears.

Exactly. Just as yours truly has. Others, though, well... [more laughter] They're very eager to get started on their "journey".

There is no reason not to travel once any clues here have been found--and I have investigated the town itself thoroughly. It may be that obeying the rules and expectations here is the only way to unlock our path home.

[Naoto's not looking forward to being a trainer for a while, really. Really!]

And what clues have you found? Those seeking the truth will find it quicker if they share information, after all.

I've found little, I'm afraid, but the lack of information is telling in its own way.

The residents of the town I've arrived in are ignorant to the point of being naive. They have no concept of anything outside their narrow existence and as a whole, encourage starting on a journey. I have concluded that at the most, they are merely pawns of whoever has brought us here, and they are more likely not involved at all. The whole setup has been arranged--coincidentally or not--to force us to travel and move. I would not be surprised if each stop on the "journey" holds more clues than the last.

What else have you discovered, as a seeker of the truth?

[He has to stop transmitting on his end for a diabolical laugh moment-- As he was recruited into Team Rocket, as much as he's wanted to know what the town was like, he's had no idea thus far since he got dropped off in Mahogany with the other new recruits. Thank youuu Naoto :D]

Pretty much the same can be found everywhere. The humans of this world are blind to everything except the creatures that we're supposed to be taming, and, oh yes, you'll find things called gyms in certain cities. I suggest you challenge one as soon as you can.

[Naoto isn't going to tell him she played the game at one point though.]

Ah yes, I've heard of the gyms. If my theory is correct, defeating the gym leaders earns respect and is likely to open new paths and opportunities.

[Now THAT would blow his mind... for a little, then open up a ton for him to do.]

Is that so?

Gym leader seems to be a respected position, so yes, I would assume there is a benefit to defeating them.

You learn fast. [Too fast, in fact, since to his knowledge there aren't Gym leaders near where she is for a good while, but he won't say that just yet. He can still probe like this.]

My friends have been more helpful in that respect than the people in the town, unfortunately.
