You sound like you're being rushed. You've gotten a lot of unpleasant attention from the noble-hearted bunch here; I did warn you that it would come back to bite you.

[He'll scowl. He'll also, however, slow down enough for more of a normal conversation than he might have with most of the people who will be replying, because he's at least caught on to the fact that this person isn't your average human. At least, as far as Tarantulas' standards go.]

No matter how impressive a man's individual strength and skill, sheer numbers can outweigh that. They're not much individually but you've... [grin] stirred up the hive by kidnapping the queen.

[He shrugs] Of course, my progress has been slower than I'm used to, but I'm working on that right now.

[Come into my parlor-- He's rushing this; he knows it would be better to lay the groundwork over weeks but he wants it done as soon as possible.]

My interests are... different from yours, of course. I'm more interested in the spirit. It's so fascinating to see what you can make people want to do for you, even when they know it's wrong.

I had a few setbacks at first, and it's always slow to get them to start trusting, but after watching you, I got an idea. I should thank you, Tarantulas-san!

Most of them are just in love with the idea of "heroes." A brave, noble hero would earn trust easily, especially the ones who were rescued from [snicker] dire situations.

To make the best use of the results, I would need to...arrange the dire situations first, but in a way that didn't lead back to me.

[And there's the bait. He figures Tarantulas is smart enough to figure out what he's hinting at.]
