yay my 1st secret pal!
So I decided to sign up for SP6 - it's a knitting thing. Basically like a secret Santa kinda thing. I'm excited - can't what to see what cool treates I get!
Secret Pal 6 Questionnaire
1. Are you a yarn snob (do you prefer higher quality and/or natural fibers)? Do you avoid Red Heart and Lion Brand? Or is it all the same to you?
There are a few novelty yarns I do like I am prone to the alpacas and merino wools of the world. I frequent the local independant yarn shops and rarely go to a commerical store such as michaels or walmart for yarn.
2. Do you spin? Crochet?
Noppers, but have been interested in learning
3. Do you have any allergies? (smoke, pets, fibers, perfume, etc.)
none that I know of
4. How long have you been knitting?
About 6 month or so
5. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list?

6. What's your favorite scent? (for candles, bath products etc.)
Fruity and or sweet scents - I love candles and can never have to many.
7. Do you have a sweet tooth?
YES! but i can only have it if it is sugar free :(
8. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do?
Knitting is it - the only hobby I have stuck with and I love it!
9. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD)
Music is a big part of my little world - I like a little bit of everything. From Tori Amos to Pink Floyd to Silverstein to The Dixie Chicks. Some of my Favs are Tori Amos, Damien Rice, A Static Lullaby, Tool, Sia and The Postal Service - and much much more - I am so interested in hearing new bands also.
10. What's your favorite color? Or--do you have a color family/season/palette you prefer? Any colors you just can't stand?
I am prone to shades of blues, purples, greys and of course black.
11. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets?
I have 2, 7 yr old cats, Sable and Chloe, a 5 yr old dog, Kayla and a Husband :)
12. What are your life dreams? (really stretching it here, I know)
Basically to be happy with the one I love, a nice house, an adorable baby girl named Brehanna and the freetime and fiances to go on a few trips.
13. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with?
I LOVE alpaca, starting to like merino wool a lot also, cotton is nice also. Basically anythign soft and snugglie.
14. What fibers do you absolutely *not* like?
Red Heart and scratchy wools.
15. What is/are your current knitting obsession/s?
socks and gloves
16. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit?
Currently socks - use to be scarves
17. What are you knitting right now?
a pair of socks, pair of gloves, a scarf to match the gloves and I am working on a bookmark.
18. What do you think about ponchos?
I like ponchos, have not made one yet though.
19. Do you prefer straight or circular needles?
Straight or dpn - have not really done much with circulars though.
20. Bamboo, aluminum, plastic?
Bamboo!!!
21. Are you a sock knitter?
Absolutely. I am officially hooked on socks.
22. How did you learn to knit?
My awsome best friend corrected my mistakes as I mostly got the basica from a book then requested her guidance.
23. How old is your oldest UFO?
About 6 months or so.
24. What is your favorite animated character or a favorite animal/bird?
I like a lot of cute anime characters. Off the top of my head I liek "no face" from Spirited away and the little bobble heads from Princess Moninokie
25. What is your favorite holiday?
Holloween
26. Is there anything that you collect?
Dragons... and oh yeah yarn
27. What knitting magazine subscriptions do you have?
None, but I have been thinking about Interweave Knits and Vogue Knitting.
28. Any books out there you are dying to get your hands on?
A few actually, Vogue Accessorize and Wrap Style are the 2 at the top of my list.
29. Any patterns you have been coveting, but haven't bought for one reason or another??
