This is a desperate question here: Does anyone have, or can obtain in the next couple days, a copy of the King James Bible?? I can't believe I'm even asking this; but I need it for a class, and for an essay that is due next Monday. The school bookstore is plumb out, and the school library only has on record an electronic copy, if you could believe ( Read more... )

Um, yah, I have a copy.

However, I have class through Thursday night (8).

I could come up after class, or Friday or something. I've been wanting to hang out with you anyway.

I might be able to find one, but don't count on it. There are a bunch of other versions lying around the house, I'm sure.

My truck should be repaired by now, I have to check, but it looks like tonights plans might be back on. If so, I'll bring a JKV with me if I can find one.

Well, just to let you know, it HAS to be the King James version. No substitutes. If substitutes were allowed, I wouldn't be making this desperate inquiry. =)

PLEase let me know if your plans are definately on. You can call. =) I still have no idea how I'm getting there yet. And what sucks is that because I didn't inquire about the guest list--as I felt odd doing so because I don't know Kumi, though I probably should have done so anyway--I'm probably going to have to pay to get in. ::growls::

You may be able to get a Gideon bible from any major hotel, and some minor ones.

A Christian Science Reading Room is likely to have a copy. Call first, however, to see if they'll give you one.

Goodwill generally has several for a buck or two.

Go to the city library. I think West Portal is nearest to you. Crap. It's closed for renovation. Try the Merced branch or maybe Parkside.

Motels have the Gideon bible, not the King James. Yes, there is a big diff.
