I read some books and things

I just finished A Feast For Crows!
also, I read the first book of the hunger games.
oh! and some things happened in my life wrt sexuality that I feel the need to overshare about.

for this first part, ASoIaF spoilers through AFfC

okay, so, for one thing, I had a conversation about Sansa Stark with an acquaintance. She was just getting off the train, so we didn't have much time to talk about this, but she called Sansa weak.
What? You think Sansa is weak?
In the few seconds I had before she left, I told her, "I don't think Sansa's weak at all. There's a difference between weak and powerless."
I mean, Jesus. Look at how she acts during the battle of Kings Landing. She thinks she is going to die and she puts that aside in an attempt to calm the people that she views as being in her charge (since Cersei disappears). In AFfC, Alayne spends all her time 1. being Alayne and 2. comforting Robert in ways like escorting him across terrifying walkways only a few meters wide.
Sorry, but how are these things weak?

now, Hunger Games!

First off, a friend of mine pointed out that some people that are Team Peeta/Katniss refer to themself as Team Peeniss. Yes, yes I am on that team.
This is ironic considering that I spent most of my time reading that book being like "what is WITH the lesbian subtext of this book! holy shit! 'She teasingly traced my lips with the blade'?? What is even happening here?" (if you are wondering, this is in reference to when the District 4 girl almost cuts her up. she sits on top of Katniss and talks about lips a lot . whoah there. make out already.)
So actually I may slash Katniss/all the ladies.
Basically, my overriding thought on it? The writing is eh, but it was a fun read and it was funny. I laughed a lot, possible at a variety of things that weren't meant to be funny, but mainly at things like Peeta saying, "The Arena COULD BE a giant cake!"

oversharing about my sexuality!
so, a while ago, thanks to the internet, I got interested in kink.
Some people on my campus started a group to talk about kink last term. Hopefully we'll be having weekly-ish munches.
Oh my gosh, guys, so much talking about sex.
And now I have a fetlife, which is weird/cool? It's like facebook for kinksters, if you don't know. It's a party.

asoiaf, kink, life experience, the hunger games
