Love this and agree with the rating. It seemed like a cute show, something not terrible to leave on and honestly more distracting than I had thought it would be. I think you're right about the jokes not having that punch and follow through which would have made them stick.

So did they ever flesh out the little sister anymore? I'm glad they didn't end up forgetting her like we thought they might at one point. I hope she at least got some additional plot use. The older sister lived away, right? You're right, she didn't seem overly necessary.
