One of my all time favorite singer/songwriters is Elliott Smith. He is amazing. He wrote and sang beautiful songs for a little less than a decade. Unfortunately in October of 2003 he couldn't deal with his addictions and depression anymore and he stabbed himself in the heart in his home. It's a shame when such talented people take their lives

sure, I have all 5 of his cds, plus good will hunting, some b-sides, and a ton of live covers. he was known for his live covers. i also just got a live unreleased song by him, it's like brand new, its called Amanda
