Do I like Pop Tarts?
I don't think I've watched a new episode of Gilmore Girls in like 2 years. So I finally happen to be home, relatively un-busy tonight when it was on (alright, I was looking for an excuse to not go running for once) and pretty much every plot line I can remember has gone crazy. What the crap?
As if returning from a long vacation to a familiar yet since separated something, it starts with a mother/daughter argument about Friday night dinners while standing in front of the Grandparents' house. Ah, wonderfully familiar repetitive plot structure. For a moment I forgot that any time had gone by since the last time I watched the show while it was actually on tv. But then the weird starts. Lorelai and Luke broke up. Okay so they were barely starting to date last I watched, I guess it was inevitable. Rory is dating the guy from that secret society. Don't know the details there but as long as he's not an asshole then alright. But what's this... Lane and Zach are now married? And Lane is pregnant? When the hell did that happen? Season finale I assume. Speaking of couples, weren't Lorelai's parents having issues? Apparently that got resolved over the last couple years. And finally, the Lorelai and Chris thing. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that something happened to provoke the whole them not speaking then Chris suddenly and (while you could see it coming a mile away even though I haven't even kept up with the plot for multiple seasons) dramatically confessing his love for Lorelai thing.
Now do I ask for clarification or just wait until the entire series is finally on dvd, by it, and watch the whole thing in order starting from the very beginning then eventually catching up to wherever I left off?
