Who: Sephiroth
Status: Closed
When: 11:13pm
Where: Nibelheim - Shin-Ra Mansion.
What: Sephiroth snoops around the old mansions for information.

The tranquillity of the small mountainous town was disturbed by the sound of doors being forced open. Thick wood slamming against the wall, there stood a silhouette in the previously closed entrance way as two softly glowing pools of mako chased away parts of the shadows. The town was already neatly tucked into bed and happy with their sense of safety and security.

Stepping past the boundary, Sephiroth’s gaze coolly passed over the foyer of the old mansion. It was still rather sparsely furnished, but he found his attention drawn to the fact that despite being empty, there was hardly a speck of dust in the area. That meant that there had to have been at least some level of upkeep. Not that it mattered - whoever kept this place in order wouldn’t be back anytime tonight. Even if they did he would have taken care of the pest without a second thought.

Moving eloquently up the staircase, he made his way past the other rooms and into one of the bedrooms. There was nothing that actually interested within the mansion itself, but more what it kept hidden deep below it instead. He knew there was little chance that he would find something, but it was better to find out sooner rather than later to if his assumptions were correct.

Pushing the curved door open, Sephiroth disappeared with a swirl of black and silver as he lept down into the basement. There was still that softly emanating purple light dancing across the stone, and with a passing glance, the ex-General dismissed any needless distractions as he continued his way through the hall. It didn’t look as though anyone came down here any longer.

Time passed quickly as he searched the basement area, but his results were turning up with nothing ultimately. There had been a slim chance that something might have been found, and so far he’d been correct. Whatever he had come across had been useless junk in his eyes, and the remaining samples - whether they were broken or not - were not the samples he was searching for. It was an irritating concept to say the least, but hardly anything he could do about it. What it meant was that he’d have to redirect his attention back towards the Midgar area.

Running his fingers along the spines of the books, calm cat-like eyes glanced over the multitudes of colours before their movements stopped, and Sephiroth pulled one volume from the shelf. He’d read every journal and tome within this library years ago, Sephiroth noted while flipping through the book. Such an action had resulted in his finding out about his true origins, and it had set in motions the events that took place during Meteor.

There was nothing of interest on the pages in the book, and shortly afterwards it snapped shut with a loud thud before Sephiroth returned it to the shelves. He’d have to return to Edge and reconvene with those remnants of his. Hopefully they’d have more success in finding out information. Replacing the thick book back on the shelf, he brushed his hands clean from the dust before making his way out of the basement. He’d be able to make it back to Costa del Sol while it was still dark, before heading back over to be in Junon by early morning. If he’d been unable to find anything out through remaining quiet… then perhaps what was needed was the opposite.

The corner of his lips upturned ever so subtly into a pleased smile, and just as fast as that emotion came, it was gone moments afterwards as Sephiroth began making his way back out of the basement. So much for being ‘stealthy’ - he’ll do things his usual way for now. If he couldn’t find information in the usual places then perhaps those foolish misfits had what he wanted.

Extracting information had always been of great enjoyment to him in the past, and it was something that would continue to do so. First he was in need of Kadaj and Yazoo though.
