Warning: PsychoRoth, blood, violence

He had left the remnants not long after their encounter with Cloud the previous night. Kadaj and Yazoo both had their instructions while he had his own duties to perform. It was proving to be rather difficult to locate the remaining cells of his, and if the next locations he’d given the others to search came up empty, then he’d be forced to dig a little deeper. Yet there was something else that was tugging at his curiosity. He hadn’t yet given up on locating the remaining cells, but if his intuition was correct, then there was a large possibility that what he sensed yesterday was in fact the dragon Yazoo had mentioned earlier.

It had caused a rather intriguing reaction out of his remnant, and the fact that it had possibly triggered his senses meant that there was definitely something of interest on his end. If that was the case, then he would not stop searching for the beast regardless of how long it took.

He had spent the better part of the night searching through over the city and the inner sectors, but whatever it was that he had sensed no longer seemed to be dwelling within - which meant that his search needed to move elsewhere. Standing within the shadows on the outskirts of Edge, Sephiroth quietly observed the few filthy humans who walked past the other end of what could be considered a street he supposed. There were old cast off pieces of metal and trash everywhere, and large iron sheets were propped up in some poor excuse of housing for those who were rather down on their luck.

Turning his back on the small shanty town, Sephiroth began to move off through the shaded street. There was the odd human off down a joining street going through the garbage bins, but they paid him little mind as their attentions were focused on trying to find something worthwhile to pawn off for gil. They weren’t even worth disposing of in his eyes.

Sephiroth’s movements didn’t even miss a beat as he noticed the shadow on the very edge of the city limits. They were attempting to do their best at hiding, and if he weren’t who he was they might have gone undetected, but they didn’t have skill enough to hide from his sensors. He didn’t make a show of knowing they were there, however, and continued his way down as if he hadn’t noticed anything.

A flash of silver and an almost feral growl greeted Sephiroth while he began to walk past the hidden man and they lunged towards him. “Gimme your gil!” The man demanded heatedly.

Pivoting around the sudden attack effortlessly, Sephiroth’s hand snapped down to capture the one holding the hunters knife. Twisting the wrist painfully in the wrong direction until it cracked and broke, the ex-General’s other hand shot out to slam hard against their clavicle as he forced their body back into the shadows and up against the wall with a resounding thud.

Easily disarming his attacker, Sephiroth didn’t waste a single moment as he turned the blade around within his hand and slammed it into his prey’s abdomen. Sephiroth’s lips upturned into a satisfied smile as his actions were rewarded with a cry of pain.

“You fuckin’ crazy assed psycho! Lemme the fuck go!”

Pushing the blade in deeper at the panicked words, he purposefully twisted the weapon in the wound as he harshly pinned his opponent to the wall. “’Crazy assed psycho’ am I?” Sephiroth asked with the barest hint of a chuckle highlighting his voice. Leaning down until he was face to face with his prey, his eyes narrowed slightly in open amusement as he smoothly added. “Then perhaps I should justify those claims.”

Tensing the muscles in his left arm, Sephiroth made certain to keep the useless human in place - despite their struggling - as he tightly gripped the blade handle and yanked it up through their body. He could feel the skin and muscles tear beneath the vicious movements, and the warmth of the parasites blood could be felt as it flowed down their body like water. Screams echoed throughout the street, causing those who had been nearby to run in the opposite direction. While they were all in this mess, none were willing to sacrifice their lives for another.

Metal hitting up against the lowest rib bone, Sephiroth withdrew the blade from their body while they coughed and heaved blood from their mouth and lungs. Feeling their struggling attempts grow weaker, he relaxed his grip around their shoulder. They would be dead within a couple of minutes from their wound anyway, but even despite this, Sephiroth was hardly going to allow such a foolish little parasite the pleasure of a dignified death either. Right hand snapping out to snag their left one, he ignored the pathetic sounds they made as they began to gurgle and drown on their own blood. Holding their hand to the wall, he adjusted the knife within his left hold before slamming the tip of the hunter’s knife through their palm and into the brick wall behind.

Taking a step away, there was no attention given to the blood marring his clothing as he stared down dispassionate to the dying human at his feel. “Pathetic.” With an annoyed huff of air, he turned away and disappeared out of Edge.
