What: Scarlet takes a break from her experiments and ventures outside.
Scarlet had spent day and night in her lab, trying to come up with something to do with the solar cells. Investigating batteries wasn't her favorite work, but it gave her something to do, and with a steady source of mako she would need something else to power her machines. She had a small but capable staff that executed experiments without complaint, and that she was thankful for.
Frustrated, she was going tired and concerned when none of the more obvious ideas worked. Notebook under her arm, she decided that at last she needed to take a break from her work and get some air to clear her head. She excused herself from the lab and went outside, grateful for a change of scenery, even if it was only the polluted streets of Midgar.
Buying herself a sandwich and a cup of coffee, she sat down on a bench near one of the street corners and began to eat. With one hand, she opened the notebook and worked idly on a sketch of a diagram of one of the cells, trying to figure out how to rebuild it to make it stronger. It's current design simply wouldn't be able to create the energy Shinra was hoping for.
Finishing the sandwich, she set the wrapper aside and lit a cigarette, idly studying the sketch and hoping for inspiration.
