Elena spent an hour in her bathroom brushing down her hair, straightening her tie, smoothing out each crease in her suit, and all because she was going to have to meet with Rufus this morning. Now, she wasn't the type to go out of her way for him specifically-- well, in a way yes, because she couldn't stand looking worse for the wear when it came to either of her bosses (Tseng more so than Rufus) -- but it was important that she look somewhat presentable.

After her morning duties, Elena rushed to the ShinRa headquarters, swiftly walking past employees of the company without so much as a hello. She was nervous, if that wasn't so very obvious. How was she going to explain their sneaking into HBCS without seeming like somewhat of a dirty criminal? Well, she supposed it didn't really matter since they had become so accustomed to it before all of this... but still! That wasn't the point. She would have to say something along the lines of what they'd been up to. Oh, and not to mention possibly having to bring up her little exchange with ( ... )

"Ugh." Was Rude's reply to Elena's greeting. While he didn't exactly dislike Elena, her energy was annoying and gave him a mild headache which he simply was not in the mood for. He raised his hand a little as a wave, both to greet her, and dismiss her at the same time, or at least try to indicate he wasn't in the mood to talk.

"Havn't seen him." Rude, in fact, had not seen the president personally for two years. He had only seen during his slow recovery from Geostigma, so he was not sure how well he actually was. Then again, Rude didn't care much anyway. If Rufus could run the company, he was good enough. He knew the President was strong, so chances were, if the President was still recovering, Rude would never be able to tell.
