It was a wonder he had spotted him at all. Silhouetted in black with cascading silver hair, it was like he was there and gone in an instant.

What Barret didn't realize was that they had similar objectives.

Of course, Barret being the fellow he was, couldn't possibly believe in such a thing. After all, all Jenova's spawn was good for was death, destruction, and a little more death. Oh, and fires. So Wallace attempted to remain light footed, fingering his PHS, though in truth if the bad man sniffed him out, speed dial probably wouldn't help much. At least he'd recently updated his will.

For the moment, he kept a distance, shrouded in black himself. His dark skin lent a hand in keeping him obscure against the walls he hugged them. Though when it came to a particular Virtue, standing front and center would probably get better results.

Which begged the answer to the question...which encounter would be worse? Sephiroth or Forgiveness?

The first order of business would be to locate one of those wretched women. It was an obvious conclusion to make, but it left Sephiroth debating which would be the better area to successfully search for them. Back near the underground laboratory? He doubted he’d find what he wanted there, but it was a start at least ( ... )

Barret must have been a fool to believe he could continue to trail the infamous Sephiroth without being sniffed out at some point. Maybe he was simply stubborn and angry that....once again, this jackass was back in his territory when he should have been dead.

Actually, he was beginning to get cold feet. This was an entity that cheated death more than once, put a serpents' head on a pike, and took out countless adversaries without breaking a sweat. Following someone like this was suicide. Besides, he had a kid to think about.

But masculine pride won out, and he edged a little closer to the silver haired menace, keeping his finger on dial and his gunarm at a ready for action while in the back of his mind, a voice told him loudly how stupid he was.

He wasted no time after he landed on the rooftop as he backtracked to get behind whoever was following him. It didn’t take much effort either considering he could feel that the fool was continuing their stalking even though they had now become the prey. Summoning Masamune to his side, Sephiroth tightly gripped the hilt of his blade before he silently jumped over the side of the building to land directly behind the one following him.

It was easy to recognise the figure at first glance even if he couldn’t be bothered recalling their pathetic name. Bringing the edge of Masamune over their shoulder, he pressed his sword’s sharp edge up against their neck as he smoothly murmured. “It isn’t polite to stalk others.”
