Entry One ~ November 20th, 6:15 A.M.

I am dismayed to find that - just as the other occupants of the house have claimed - we are indeed trapped here. I...cannot say that I'm proud of myself for rushing into this case as quickly and carelessly as I did. Clearly, I should have known better. I suppose I should have expected it; Wright never seems to fail when it comes to landing himself ( Read more... )

Finally, someone mentions a place I'm familiar with.

Have there been many mentions of places you're unfamiliar with?

More than I wanted to hear.

I'm from Shibuya, in Japan.

I see. I've studied in Tokyo, so of course I am familiar with Shibuya. Quite a lively place.

I have noticed that some of the people in this house seem rather...exotic. Thus far I've been at a loss to explain why I've been hearing whispers on so many unfamiliar subjects. I must admit I had begun to doubt my own knowledge slightly. I am glad to know I am not the only one who finds themselves rather puzzled.

You got a message about this mystery too? I'm kinda relieved! With more heads working on it, I'm sure we'll have it cracked in no time.

I wouldn't say I received any sort of message, unless you count the disappearance of a colleague of mine a being a message of sorts. I came here to investigate his disappearance as a preliminary of sorts to the case that has most likely been opened by now, what with three prominent lawyers having disappeared now.

I do sincerely hope we "crack" it soon...I'm sure we all have homes we wish to return to as soon as possible.

A missing person's case! This just keeps getting more and more mysterious!

I'd assume we're all considered "missing" by now...and we appear to be trapped in this mystery.

Took you that long to get it, huh? Must be a part of the trade-- butlers, y'know.

If by "that long" you mean that I reserved my final judgment until having been shown the proper evidence, then yes- yes, it took me that long. I suppose, however, a common street thug such as yourself might not be able to follow such trains of logic.

Street th-- yeah. Logic, never heard of it. Sure takes a lot of logic to notice something as obvious as being trapped here.

Would you suggest that, after having entered into an unfamiliar establishment chock full of persons unknown to me - some of said persons being far from what anyone would consider sane - that I should simply take everything they say at face value without at least making a few of my own inquisitions?

I suppose you wouldn't happen to have done any poking around yourself, now would you?

...we're being held here against our will and you wonder if I'm not happy? I'll keep it simple and to the point: No. No, I am certainly not happy.

Moving on, there are many differences is opinion and values between my roommate and myself that I'm afraid simply cannot be breached. For both our sakes and the sanity (however relative that term has proven to be) of everyone else in this household, I believe it is within our best interests to separate the two of us as soon as possible.

I'm sorry. :(

I can't do it for you, you have to get someone to agree to swap.

But we won't be prevented from switching; excellent.

I can't say I'm all that happy about coming here to investigate either...

Not trying to pry, but was there a reason you came back to L.A.?

iusferendum February 13 2009, 19:13:35 UTC
You might remember that L.A. is, in fact, my home. That being said, I reached a point in my endeavors abroad at which I felt it time to return and put all I've accumulated to good use.

I see. So you're going to go back to prosecuting full-time if/when we leave this stupid house?

I am. Two days ago was my first day back, actually. Imagine my surprise when I found myself the only attorney present, and the next day as well.

If I didn't know better, I might think yourself and Wright were trying to avoid me.

((I think that's Edgeworth's version of a joke. XD Wtf, Edgey. WTF.))
