Well, it's kind of hard to see your attacker's face when they're behind you and choking the life out of you with the chain from their nunchucks.

I'm sorry, Justice. The questions I have to ask you are insensitive, but know that I am not without empathy. We have no choice but to remain strong, regardless of the trails or suffering we have been forced to undergo.

While you are doing this entire witch hunt, can we throw all the suspects into one room so that people won't take revenge on them?

My concern is for the safety of the innocents entrapped in this household. I hope you are not implying that either prosecutor Gavin or myself in any way intend support the use of violence against the suspects.

None of us here have the authority to pass a sentence on those found guilty, but I for one would rather run the risk of arousing a few vigilantes than leave everyone uninformed of the threats that surround them.

That I understand. But as things are now, people are taking revenge into their own hands. The young man, Vaan, has been attacked more than once recently. I've spoken to a lady friend of his, and we both agree that it will be wise to put him under protective custody. However, the same may happen to others who were involved. Until your investigation is through, something needs to be done to protect these individuals.

You're suggesting we formulate some sort of protective custody for those whose names are revealed by the testimonies, to which I would have no objections. I plan to request statements from each of the accused, as well, but I doubt anyone would wish to come forward should they get the misconception that this is, as you put it, a "witch hunt." If we were able to offer some sort of protection for their honesty, perhaps we'd more easily be able to find the truth behind the incidents.

The questions that remain: who would be willing to oversee the endeavor, and who has the capability to provide such protection?

Unless you've got somethin' planned with the information, isn't this whole thing pointless? Sure, it's good to know-- but considerin' who's been doing the attacking, I'm wonderin' more about the circumstances part.

Takin' note of their concerns won't scare away anyone that feels like attacking them.

It might perhaps surprise you that we do, in fact, have something planned.

We are not trying to scare anyone away, or hunt anyone down; our goal is simply to collect information in hopes of revealing the truth. Wouldn't you agree that, for those among us who are not used to physical combat or having to watch their backs at every turn, the best bet at safety would be to keep as well informed as possible?
