[The lights. What. Where did they go. Blinking to try and get his eyes to adjust. Pulls his communicator out, but he can't seem to get it to connect. At least the screen provides some sort of lighting for now, though.

Starts flashing it around the place to try and see just what is going on]

[Seeing a flash of light some distance away, he blinks at his communicator, hitting it on his hand a couple times. Had his voice not gone through? Oh, just his grand luck if the damn thing was running out of batteries...

The jarring causes the light on the device to come on, however, and - taking a tip from whoever it might prove to be at the end of the hall - he uses the soft light on the screen as a makeshift flashlight as he makes his way towards the other person.]

[Turns his communicator towards the other light and voice, shining it right on Edgeworth's face. Pause. Cue scowl. And here he thought this idiot was gone.

But damn. People. People weren't a good thing to be near right now]

[He's not too happy to see you either, Kanda, especially considering you just blinded him with your stupid light.]

...oh. It's you.

[He rubs at his eyes, averting them from the light as he shines his own at Kanda. No, that wasn't revenge or anything. Not at all. He was above petty revenge. Oh, yes. He was.]

[He leaves it at that, apparently satisfied, turning a corner in the direction of the tool shed.]

[His answer had sounded more like he was responding to something Kanda hadn't said, but he didn't press the matter further. When they reached the tool shed, he shone his light around, checking the walls for a breaker box he didn't really think he was going to find.]
