WHERE THE-- [A very long, extremely colorful string of highly explicit German curses is heard.] --HELL DID THIS TATTOO COME FROM?!

[For several minutes the sound of the prosecutor presumably throwing breakables around his apartment can be heard, along with another string of particularly creative swearing in any number of European languages, ( Read more... )

It's an unwanted, permanent marking in a visible location on my person. As someone active under the public eye, it's entirely inappropriate for me to have something as vulgar as a tattoo.

[Oof, such colorful cursing.] Sir, please calm down.

[Grumbles, unwilling to scream and swear at someone who sounds so imploring, and actually isn't goading him or attempting to pick a fight.]

I'm afraid remaining calm, in this particular case, is rather more easily said than done, Miss.

I understand your feelings, but shouting won't solve anything. You need to take a deep breath and count to ten. I'm sure you'll feel better then.

[Counting to ten; why hadn't he thought of that? After having to deal with Gumshoe for so many years he'd virtually perfected the art of patience (in his opinion), and one would think he'd be able to make use of the same tactics he'd been forced to learn to use almost daily, what with the errant detective bungling his duties at every possible turn.]

Your advice isn't unsound. I can assure you I'm not prone to such outbursts, I simply-- Well. I suppose it was the shock of my sudden revelation that prevented me from handling the situation in a more level-headed manner. I apologize.

And it was worth throwing a tantrum over?

I'd say it warranted a due amount of anger, yes.

Um...I think it would be better for you to calm down. Getting angry really doesn't accomplish anything...

And, what mark are you talking about, anyways?

Well perhaps getting angry makes me feel better, all right?

Apparently our captors felt the need to mark us all with an unsightly tattoo on some part of our bodies. Mine wasn't immediately noticeable, so I'm sure you'll understand my shock when I was informed I had been given a tattoo, of all things, yet had failed to notice it in my discomposure.
