Black lives matter

I had lunch today with the 12 year old girl I mentor, and some of her friends joined us. At their school almost all of the kids are black or brown, and almost all of the teachers are white. Ahh, that makes me so sad for those kids :( I was bulled a lot at that age, and I can only imagine what it would've been like if I hadn't felt able to go to a teacher for help.

Ugh.

It's a terrible situation. I don't know what it's like in Germany, although I have a feeling that it might not be that much different in most areas.

It's just really horrific to see young children learning this divide and adapting to it.
