I'm pregnant. About 5 weeks. And, I can't talk to anyone about it. I've told a few, but because I'm a "high risk" the doctor tells me to not start celebrating just yet. What makes you high risk?

Being overweight, my age, and prior to surgery I was diabetic (still kinda am) and had high blood pressure. My age isn't too big of an issue, but since this is my first pregnancy I'm a high risk. I have my first appointment on Monday so we will see how everything is going. Right now, this baby is kickin' my ass lol.

You had lap band surgery right? How long ago was that?

You aren't too much lol. It was a year in Jan. I have an appointment on the 7th for a followup and I will tell them I'm pregnant then. I'm not sure what the procedure is for the 1st trimester, so I don't know when they will want to take fluid out. The sooner the better, my joints are achy and I can't take the fish oil pills cause they are too big.
