You know when you roleplay and it's so obvious how much a person wants to be the character... or rather be WITH the character their muse is with in canon. FOR EXAMPLE... in the fandom of Supernatural somebody might pick up one of Dean's lovers (Lisa for example) just to play the pairing with a Dean. I don't have anything against pairings, I have

Pairings... man, pairings... I think they are supposed to add another level of dynamic, but they shouldn't be the ONLY dynamic you seek out. After all, your life shouldn't revolve around... well pairings (I am sure it does in many cases but asldalkda ) WHAT I MEAN IS. Inversely I hate people who ignore canon romantic CR coz of personal feelings. BALANCE GUYS.

Well... I'm pretty much over my slash phase (not that I don't like it occasionally) but when it comes to shows and stuff, canon is crucial. I agree, it's stupid to just disregard the romantic interest.. esp if that interest has a lot to do with the other characters story or personality.

And our pairings are always the shit... srsly I was scared of them until you came into my life.... that's not cheesy at all!

I'm feeling better... except for when I eat anything >< And there is a lot of good food in the house... so I'm sad.

My issue with slash is that most of the time it isn't done well. :/ But I agree about the phase thing /is over it too asdaks. And well yeah, you know my issue with that romantic interest ignoring. |: It seems very common in this fandom.

No, it's just stuff that I see on various muse comms, I mean, I generally don't fish for pairings so I haven't had a good one since my last game... and I hate to say this, but girls are the ones who do this.. fish for pairings.

I have to say, bucking the trend here, that I love pairings. RP is what got me into certain pairings and not the other way round. Hell, I discovered a fondness for slash through RP years ago. While I don't go for utterly gratuitous pairing-vulture behaviour, there's something very satisfying about a well-plotted romantic relationship.

Having said all that, there is no point having a pairing when there's no plot and no forward momentum in a game. Plot uber alles, man.

Oh no, I agree completely, but it's the pairing vulture behavior I'm talking about. I love pairings too, but if there is a good plot mixed in and some build up, I realize not every character waits for the build up, but I think you know what I mean, some muns play their muses ooc just for the sake of a pairing.

Okay, I don't know why I said that all, we're clearly on the same page <33333.
