Looks like we've both got ladies now. Hopefully that will last for a while.

Actually neither of us have ladies... sounds like we're both "seeing" someone. Well.... I guess that would qualify as having ladies... lol. : )

I don't need luck, I do need cologne, though... I can spare $45 on it so I'm going to head out tomorrow and try to find something good.

$45? dude go to target spend $8 and get like axe or tag... $45 cologne is for nice dates that involve a granduer amount of impressing... she can't smell the $37 difference... go easy on it... don't go over board because you may work your expectaions up and you don't know if she will want to go out again(not saying that theres any reason that she wouldn't) but still don't go over board keep it nice and resonable... dinner and a movie is a perfectly acceptable first date... because she works for a theater you may consider dinner and pool or something not so movie like... but anyways... $45 is about how much you should spend on the date... not on cologne... get like $8-$15 that it is for something pleasant at target or somethin and go with that.... its all you need...

Well, dude, this is planning for the future. Obviously I'm not spending $45 for a one-time-use thing. And its not like I was going to spend it all. But you know me, I'm a stuck-up snob and thus I won't stoop to Target/K-Mart level products. And yeah, she won't smell the difference, but I'll feel the difference if you get what I mean.

Oh man, when you said "dinner and pool" I thought you meant like, swimming pool. And I was confused.

ok, just gunna weigh in here a lil.
1. dinner and a movie is only 1/2 of a good date. the dinner part is good because you talk and get to know each other but going to a movie might get awkward because you can't really talk, except for after, also she works there, might be sick of it. i'm afraid i don't have any better suggestion atm, but you know her better so you could think of something.
2. Axe/tag each have a variety of scents(sp?) doubtful anyone could pick it out right away as "oh that's axe" But it's your call, if you don't like/want axe, don't get it, there's 345309453098 different kinds of smelly stuff out there, just get something you like, just don't get something too strong, the girl is there to hang out with you, not smell you.

still, that is one of those first impression type things that sets an entire mood. and axe= cheap. too cheap to care

or broke. i don't know about you, but i don't have $45 to drop on smelly stuff, especially if i'm gunna be paying for dates.

David is SO right! Dates are rediculously expensive... just wait till we're 21 and drinking comes into play (for those who choose to go that path), I've heard horror stories of entire pay checks squandered. Furthermore: Diana- you can't talk since you're are the recipient! ; )

I totally missed this post - and I don't know if it's too late to make any input, but I'm going to anyway. :) First off: yay! Go you. I'd totally freeze and be hiding under my bed for a year after that kind of I-thought-you-said-then? moments, after assuming they were totally ignoring me, etc etc.

As for cologne (as if you weren't totally sick of the subject) what's even nicer (in my opinion) than chemically smelling lotions (expensive or otherwise) are natural, more subtle products - like cedar and sandlewood essential oil (the best combination ever, and I mean, EVER) in some sort of natural base (beeswax and almond oil, maybe) you only need a little bit, and it doesn't have the embalming fuild scent that so many commercially made colognes do. But whatever - I just hope you like whatever you chose, and have a wonderful time :)

Ah well. it seems my date has been postponed. Her birthday is tomorrow and her mother is taking her shopping, all unannounced 'till now, of course. And I totally did have tons of thoughts racing through my head about the miscommunication. I figured she gave me the wrong time to get rid of me, or worse, forgot about me. I'm still paranoid, but at least I'm at a point where I don't mind following up on everything to get the truth.

Well, I got some cologne samples today. I can't say I know too much about them or any other kind of scent product. But I found out some interesting facts, like using winter scents better fits with my skin as mine is more dry than anything else so I need stuff designed to last a while. If I use a lighter scent its gone in a relatively quick time. When I go back to the shop on Friday I'll ask about the stuff you mentioned.

In regards to your first paragraph... totally a classic girl move.

She doesn't seem like the type to do that, but she does seem flakey. Which I myself am all about, so I'm not too worried.
