Rome

Just in case someone was going to buy me a Christmas present, I want Rome: Season One. I saw a few episodes of this show and its pretty awesome. But I don't get HBO at home so I'ma have to buy the DvDs if I want to watch.

Just thought I'd throw that out there, heh.

Oh and also HBO is making a six season long series based on the Preacher comics!

Preacher! Excellent...

Rome does sound awesome. And it has the ever fabulous Kevin McKidd in it - I've never seen him in something that wasn't fabulous. You're pretty much guaranteed of seeing something good if he's chosen to be in it.

While Kevin McKidd is great, I love the fact that James Purefoy is in it! I've always loved him, something about his face I s'pose. He was in A Knight's Tale as the king who disguised himself to compete in the joust. I just think he plays these parts really well.

James Purefoy is fabulous - I've seen him in a few BBC (my best friend) productions, most notably 'Bright Hair', he was this killer poetry lecturer, it was fantastic. I don't recognise many other people in the cast list (but it does seem to be dominated by men - are there any girls in this show at all?) but Ciarán Hinds is usually reliable too, again, I know him through BBC period dramas. He has a very distinctive voice... maybe interesting from a voice acting perspective?
Now we just have to petition to get Daniel Craig on the show and it'll be the best thing ever!
