Mmm, Sammy. And you've been watching Supernatural?! You know who Ellen is, so you must have been! Is this my evil corrupting influence at work? I do hope so! :P

That Night in Vienna thing sounds like incredible fun - was it watching or participating? Did you get to dress up in painfully gorgeous Prestige type clothing? Were there chandeliers and champagne? A real orchestra/band? Magical!

I love your computer angst, it's so cute "Mine is bigger" "No, mine is bigger!" tee!

Bugger about the wallet though - I've been really lucky and had the same purse for, oh, about five years now, and it's still going strong despite a bit of fraying on the stitches. My bag on the other hand has been going for about 8 years, and my old converse sneakers for 10! And I still fit into them - I'm never going to be able to throw them out <3 ( ... )

Of course it is! Hah, hearing you talk about it all the time works it up a bit you know. I don't watch it all the time, I just get to catch a goodly amount of episodes.

A Night in Vienna was cool. I've gone to their New Year's Eve performances three previous times, though I missed last year. Its really fun. Its not all music, they had a tenor and a baratone, too. And while the clothes people wear vary from tux and gown to jeans and tees, most people do wear suits and ties. I got to wear my black vest that I rarely get to use. Was there champagne? Yes! Though, I can't drink. Real orchestra? You bet! Its only a total of about 50 musicians but its an orchestra nontheless.

My old wallet was leather, but poorly constructed. This time I'm going to get some quality! I need new shoes, too, though. I don't know how you keep shoes for 10 years, but mine already are busting at the soul's seems. Time for me to break my New Balance habbit... I buy far too many of their shoes.

Does this make me a mentor? How simultaneously awesome and frightening! :)
So... *whistles* Tell me, which episodes have you seen? I should say from the outset that I expect this discussion to degenrate into rampant squee...:P

Mmmkay, you have a vest? Seriously, three-piece suits are my absolute favourite men's clothes in the whole world. They are so effortlessly and infinitely elegant (not to mention, woah, hot) They've got to fit of course, not tailored necessarily (though of course that does help) It sounds like you have a very classy innate senes of style - bravo to you.

Oh, yes, I thought you might like this. I'm not particularly fond of the song (or that whole album, really) but the clip looked rather fascinating. I seem to remember you liking this song, but if not, sorry :)

Actually, that's one of my favorite songs! That video is pretty cool, where's it from? Sinamorata is a DvD?

Sinamorata is indeed a dvd! I have 'For Darkest Eyes' (redux) which is their first dvd, it's not too bad, but I'm not really up on what makes a good band dvd. I rather wish it had more promo videos, and less live stuff - because the live video quality isn't that great - and they just have such a ridiculously gorgeous sensibility that I would've thought they'd love doing clips, but apparently not. Apparently there's another new clip floating around out there (The Prize of Beauty) which you should try and track down. I've got the 'For You' clip, which is also definately worth seeing.

If you haven't been here yet, I suggest you do. It's had some major cosmetic surgery since I was last there, and it seems to have pretty much all the information you'll ever need about MDB, funnily enough.

Gosh, apparently they have a new CD out... what a horrible fan I am, I used to breathe this band. Where oh where has the obsession gone?

So was it still a opera?

It wasn't a full on fat woman holding a spear and wearing a viking hat opera. But they did have Jack, the Baritone, sing for Don Giovanni and various other songs. I forget the names of the others, my bad :(

The rest was focused on the orchestra and the dancing.
