Classes, classes

Jan 10, 2007 20:21

So, I managed to snake myself a list full of late-start classes and will be fulfilling all my requirements as planned. And my classes are only on two days, with my lab being on a third day. I've got Intimacy/Relationship/Commitment, Math (College Algebra, I'm scared of this one), Psychology of Communication, and a lab (Which I detest, but its ( Read more... )

Oh my god, I love you! You've pretty much highlighted all the reasons why I love Supernatural, but am too busy hyperventilating to actually form into cohenrent sentences. I find it interesting that Bloody Mary scared you (I too adore that episode, the Sam & Dean interaction is particularly moving, and I think it's the first episode that actually made me fall in love with the show - the final few moments are also beautifully haunting, with the Stones music and Sam seeing Jess on the sidewalk, oh so chilling) because Bloody Mary has been the only urban legend/creature that I haven't already known about - I guess it must be a uniquely American legend, although we play truth or dare here too, there's never been a supernatural element to it ( ... )

And so Sam & Dean hit the road, trying to find their dad, and the thing that killed their mum and Jess, along the way running into various ghouls and hobgoblins. They eventually find out that the thing that killed their mum was a Demon (with yellow eyes) and that their dad is very close on it's tail. They find a mystical weapon - a gun made by Samuel Colt, with the power to destroy Demons, but there are only three bullets left... They have a run in with the Demons children (who possessed the bodies of random people - most notably the perky blonde girl, Meg) and kill/banish them. The Demon possesses John, who beats Dean to a bloody pulp, but then John gets some measure of control over it and holds it in his body and screams at Sam to kill him and end it all. Sam can't do it, and the Demon leaves John's body. Sam gets his damaged father and brother into the Impala and tries to drive them to a hospital - oh, wait! you've seen this ep, haven't you? Sorry. Ok, so that was the horrible season one cliffhanger (ow ow ow ow ow) and now in ( ... )

Ahhhh! Warn a girl before you go posting spoilers, darling!

Okay enough questions, but I really liked the last episode. Gordon coming back for revenge was a cool twist, and Dean arriving just in time to save Sam (And sadly getting a rifle butt to the face as well) was awesome.

Croatoan is the last episode I've seen, because I rely on my friend Erin to do the downoading and disc burning and etc etc because I have dialup and it would take me about a month (if not more) to download just one episode of SPN. And I haven't seen her for a couple of weeks, so I'm kind of out of touch SPN wise (and yes, it hurts)

Mmmkay, as for your questions...

1. The Papa telling Dean to save Sam was cool - but it was in the first episode, so as scary as it was, it wasn't as moving as it could have been if they'd shown it later on once we actually knew grown-up S&D, but that's fine, I'm really not complaining.

2. OF COURSE YOU HAVE TO BORROW SEASON ONE. Duh. :)

3. They don't know how they're going to kill the demon, so obviously the audience is even ( ... )

p.s. The 'Nightmare' episode shows what happens to kids like Sam if they don't have a Dean. I was watching it just the other day, it's an excellent episode. So, is Sam demon-spawn, but with Dean's utterly devoted influence, he's managed to keep the evil urges under wraps? (until now...?)
